Blessed Marina Petrucciani took vows at Santa Maria della Stella and founded the associated nunnery of San Matteo, where she died in 1502.
Her relics were venerated at Santa Maria della Stella until 1798. The canonesses took the reliquary (18th century) with them when they were then forced to leave. The canonesses and the reliquary arrived at San Ponziano in 1903: the reliquary (illustrated above) is now on the altar at the end of the right aisle.
The feast of the Blessed Marina is celebrated at San Ponziano on the last Sunday in June.
