Otricoli, viewed from the site of Ocriculum

Ask the bus driver to drop you at the Roman city.  This city, which was known as Ocriculum emerged banks of the Tiber, close to Via Flaminia in the 1st century BC. It was abandoned in the 7th century.

At this point, the inhabitants returned to the fortified site of Umbrian Ocar, where they built what is now Otricoli, some 2 km to the north.

When you have finished the walk here, you can catch the bus back to Narni or Terni.
